// how I got here// wie ich hier gelandet bin
I started by being frustrated with products that technically worked but felt wrong. Forms that made users guess. Sites that looked clean but sent no one to the booking page. Apps built for the client's org chart, not for the person actually clicking.
Angefangen habe ich aus Frustration — über Produkte, die technisch funktioniert haben, sich aber falsch angefühlt haben. Formulare, bei denen man raten musste. Seiten, die aufgeräumt wirkten, aber niemanden zur Buchung geführt haben. Apps, die fürs Organigramm gebaut wurden, nicht für den Menschen, der klickt.
That led me to study Media Design at RWU Weingarten — a degree split roughly 50/50 between coding and design. Not one with a bit of the other. Both, properly. That combination is what I use every day.
Das hat mich zum Mediendesign-Studium an der RWU Weingarten geführt — ungefähr zur Hälfte Code, zur Hälfte Design. Nicht das eine mit einem Hauch vom anderen. Beides ernsthaft. Diese Kombination nutze ich täglich.
Most projects fail not because of the code — but because of decisions made in the first week. Who is this for? What do they need to believe before they act? What's the simplest path there? I work on those questions first.
Die meisten Projekte scheitern nicht am Code — sondern an Entscheidungen, die in der ersten Woche getroffen wurden. Für wen ist das? Was müssen Nutzer glauben, bevor sie handeln? Was ist der kürzeste Weg dahin? Genau daran arbeite ich zuerst.

Three ideas a second, all of them somehow connected. Clients either love it or ask me to slow down — which I do, mostly. It comes in handy during discovery sessions where a lot needs to get covered.

Audiobook marathonsHörbuch-Marathons
I listen to audiobooks the way other people watch series — one after another. Business, psychology, history, the occasional fiction. A lot of what shapes how I think about problems comes from outside the screen.
Ich höre Hörbücher so, wie andere Serien schauen — eins nach dem anderen. Business, Psychologie, Geschichte, manchmal Belletristik. Vieles, was mein Denken über Probleme prägt, kommt von außerhalb des Bildschirms.
